Ann Moses is a name well known to Pop/Rock Fans of the 1960’s and early 1970’s. Ann was the editor of Tiger Beat, one of the most popular Teen Pop magazines of all time. After many years of giving the “scoops” on many fave teen stars, Ann finally gives the scoop on herself in her new book ‘Meow! My Groovy Life With Tiger Beat’s Teen Idols’. She takes you behind the scenes of how Tiger Beat got those exclusives with stars like Paul Revere and The Raiders, Bobby Sherman, Elvis Presley, Herman’s Hermits, The Rolling Stones, The Osmonds, David Cassidy, The Jackson 5, and of course, The Monkees. She talks about touring with The Raiders, chatting with Mick Jagger, attending the Monterey Pop Fesitval, riding in John Lennon’s limo and many more great stories. Ann is very frank and forthcoming about her observations of these stars, Michael Nesmith in particular is an interesting character study. Moses is also extremely honest about her intimate, bittersweet romance with Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gees which is heartbreaking.
The book is a great read, with many refreshing insights on the behind the scenes of the Teen Magazine industry, with fascinating stories on many fan Teen favorites. The book includes fantastic photos, some taken by Ann herself, that fans will really enjoy.
If you were a teen in the 1960’s and 70’s and poured over issues of Tiger Beat, Fave and the Monkee Spectacular for the latest on your favorite Teen Idol, then ‘Meow!’ is the book for you. If you order directly from her website, Ann will personally autograph the book for you.
Ann Moses’ book, ‘Meow! My Groovy Life With Tiger Beat’s Teen Idol’s’ is the perfect read for this 50th anniversary of the ‘Summer of Love’. Meow!
