Woodland Moth Visual & Performing Artists Studio selects six to twelve
months of gallery hop themes at a time. The theme for May had been
scheduled to be a “Tribute to the Fab Four and the PreFab Four.” It
has been decided (on March 1, 2012) by the artists at Woodland Moth
that we will do a “Tribute to The MONKEES in honor of the life of
DAVID JONES”. The event will be Friday, May 4, 2012 from 7-10 PM
during the regular May First Friday Gallery Hop in the W-S Arts
District.

Expect us to play every DAVY tune we can find, screenings of concert
footage and other film. .Expect an exhibition of Monkees/DJ
memorabilia and influenced artwork. We will also have flash mobs
singing various DJ tunes around town and a final “Daydream Believer”
from everyone we can find that can carry a tune. Fans and friends are
invited to come to 619 N. Trade Street in W-S, NC to salute the
MANCHESTER COWBOY, Davy, David. His “name is David Jones” and we know
we love him.

This Saturday (April 14th) it is the turn of the UK Monkees community
to officially mourn David’s passing with a special event to raise
money for his favourite charity, the MS Society, at The Comedy Pub,
Leicester Square, London

TV Comedian Iain Lee will host and play his ukelele, and The Shorty
Blackwells will play over an hour of Monkees hits and classic Monkee
tunes

Advance ticket sales close at 23.59pm on Thursday April 12th
