Hi Brad! I don’t know if you’ve heard this yet, but the VH1 movie Daydream
Belivers is finally being released in Jan 2001. Amazon has them
advertised. The VHS tape is 49.99 while the DVD is only 14.98! Guess I’m
gonna get me a DVD player for christmas! Just thought I’d pass this on!

Brad,
I just got home from the Charleston Cup races. Davy’s horse, Market
Neutral, came in second in one race, and another of his horses came in
forth. Davy said that this was the first time that the horse had ever been
in jumping competition, so it did very well. We had a great day. I’m
looking forward to the race next weekend.

Just wanted to let you know that Funko, the collectible bobble heads
company, will (hopefully) have their line of Monkees bobble heads out by
January 2002. The prototypes are complete, and pictures will be released by
December if all goes according to plan. They will be making one of each
Monkee.
The Johnny Lightening Surf’s Up with the Monkees Diarama is hitting store
shelves, but are selling out fairly quickly. If you do not want to pay the
prices of eBay, just wait a month or two (or three), and they will be very
easy to find.
The Corgi Monkeemobile has been released in the UK so far. It doesn’t seem
as if it has hit the US…yet. Keep a look out for those. It seems that,
also in the UK, there is a set of four Monkees figures that are about 7
inches. They are cartoon-type, but only one set has shown up on eBay, so
they may be hand made…the price is outrageous, but here is the link:

Maybe someone else in the newsgroup will know more about these.
There are also rumors that the Madame Alexander doll company of New York
(Who made a set of Beatles dolls) will come out with a set of Monkees ones.
How true this is, I am not sure, but I figured I would pass the information
along.
Good Luck finding these! The two Monkeemobile items are currently on eBay!

Hi Everyone!
Just thought you’d like to hear a little good news….
On Thursday, November 8, 2001, Shoe Suede Blues taped an interview and
performance for the Larry Covin Show, a local Los Angeles cable-access
program. During the taping, the show’s host, Larry Covin, announced
that Peter Tork will be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from
the Southern California Motion Picture Council, a 65-year old
organization which awards people who have hit high standards in Motion
Pictures, Television, and the Performing Arts. Peter will receive his
award on December 7th at a luncheon ceremony.
