This is very rare personal concert footage shot by Monkees author and Blog Writer Fred Velez of Dolenz, Jones, Boyce & Hart live at the Riverboat Club in New York City in 1976 with former Raider Keith Allison as the Music Director. Next is 1977 Riverboat footage with Micky Dolenz, Davy Jones and Micky’s sister Coco Dolenz along with their backing band The Laughing Dogs. Finally, Peter Tork and his band The New Monks live at the Rockages Convention in 1981. Fred talks these concerts in his book ‘A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You: The Monkees From A Fan’s Perspective’.
The footage is the property of Fred Velez.

Nice job Fred, too bad more people do not post their DJBH footage. This is the best video quality I have seen. DJBH would performed a good show as they proved their music and stage presence could still sustain despite the Monkees bashing from the era. A really good album as well but, unfortunately, I only heard their single on the radio twice. I was too young to help out with that as I was only 16-years old then. The other footage was really good as well. Peter had two good bands back-to-back at that time (New Monks & The Peter Tork Project).
Fred, I wish you the best…you always kept the Monkees spirit without getting yourself lost in the translation. A really good guy!
Wow Fred, very nice! I was at both the DJB&H 1976 and the 1977 M&D w/Laughing Dogs concert, but I only have some very blurry photos to show for it. Really nice to see snippets. Thanks for sharing.
My ex-wife and I were at both concerts at the Riverboat. with DJBH and Micky and Davy with Coco. As a matter of fact, when I met Coco at the 2nd Monkees’ Convention in NJ in 2014 we were talking about that very concert. Both shows were very intimate, a dining room setting. We had a table near the front and I was able to take a couple photos of my ex-wife with Davy in the background. Both were very enjoyable shows. I’m glad that someone actually has home movies of those concerts.
