The Monkees

 

Before there were The New Kids on the Block, Backstreet Boys, and ‘N Sync, there were the Monkees. At the request of a friend, I won’t mention his name, I’ve posted a photo gallery of the Monkees through the years. Instantly, the Monkees theme song started playing in my head. “Hey, hey were the Monkees, and people say we monkey around.” As a child, I watched the re-runs on TV. I thought Davy was the cutest and therefore he was my favorite. I loved it when he appeared on the “Brady Bunch.” I thought Marcia was the luckiest girl in the world. She got to hang out with Davy Jones! The photo above cracks me up, they are so young! Davy looks like a deer in headlights, but still cute nonetheless. Click here to see the photo gallery on the band. Oh, in case you don’t know, they’re here in Cincinnati, Saturday June 25 at the Procter and Gamble Hall, 650 Walnut Street, downtown. The show starts at 8 p.m. As of now, 9 a.m., tickets are still available.
