Three of The Monkees Reunite Announce Concert…
The Monkees reunite for a 10-date concert to be held in the United Kingdom. The 1960’s band will not be reuniting all of their members. Peter Tork, Davey Jones, and Micky Dolenz will unite for the concert, but Mike Nesmith will be missing from The Monkees concert.
Mike Nesmith continued recording after leaving The Monkees band. He went on to do a series of country albums without his former band members. Why did he leave The Monkees? Did he have a falling out with the other band members? Could this be why Nesmith is not performing for The Monkees reunion?
Nesmith has been doing some work in the movie entertainment business. He was the executive producer of the film “Repo Man.” Nesmith won the first Grammy Award given for Video of the Year for his hour-long “Elephant Parts” back in 1981.
He currently resides in Monterey, California with his wife. The Monkees and Nesmith must have had a falling out at some point in their career, but this is just speculation at this point.
The 10-date Monkees tour will begin on May 12th in Liverpool Echo Arena. The 1960s popular band was well known for “I’m a Believer,” “Last Train to Clarksville,” and “Daydream Believer.”
The band became a craze back in 1960s with teens and young adults swooning and screaming when The Monkees performed in concert. This 10-date reunion is sure to be a huge hit
